asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many schemes of derelict land clearance are now being considered by his Department; and what is the acreage in each case.
Mr. Fox
The Department is at present considering some 280 schemes. The size of some sites is not readily available, but the total certainly exceeds 5,000 acres.
