asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how long a petitioner for or against proposals contained in section 13 notices under the Education Act 1944 should expect to wait to receive acknowledgement of receipt of a letter or other communications from his Department.

When my right hon. and learned Friend has taken a decision on a section 13 proposal all who submitted objections or wrote letters of support are informed of it at the same time as the promoters. Until then no acknowledgements are sent unless warranted by particular circumstances.
