asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will set up an advisory committee to monitor the effects of protectionism on prices, employment, export penetration and consumer choice.

The effect of protectionist measures is already considered against these and other criteria, and I do not think it is necessary to set up a separate advisory committee.
