asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Reportthe number of prescriptions dispensed in each of the last five years for which figures are available; and if he will break down the figures by number and percentage into the following categories (a) exempt items, (b) contraceptive items and (c) chargeable items.

The following table gives the information requested.the total number of local authority employed inspectors and educational advisers currently in post compared with 1974 and 1964

There were 1,849 inspectors and educational advisers employed by English local education authorities in 1974 and 1,926 in 1979. The information is not centrally available for years prior to 1974.
