asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many of the staff of his Department of the rank of under-secretary and above have one year or more of practical experience of the use of each of the following computer languages; Algol, COBOL, BASIC, FORTRAN, PILOT, TUTOR, PASCAL and FORTH.

One such senior officer has one year or more practical experience of the use of ALGOL, COBOL and FORTRAN.
