asked the Secretary of State for Trade why the contract to replace the existing air route surveillance radar system at British airfields has been placed with Westinghouse of America when British companies were prepared to match its bid.

This is a matter for the Civil Aviation Authority, but I am informed that no such contract has yet been placed.
