New Towns (Housing Construction)

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the housing construction at present taking place in new town developments in England.

At 31 October 1979 the total number of dwellings under construction by development corporations in the 11 English new towns which have not yet transferred their housing stock to local authorities was 12,175. In three other towns 1,193 dwellings were being constructed for local authorities under management arrangements.
