asked the Minister of Transport if nuclear waste is being regularly transported through Stoke-on-Trent; and, if so, how often and in what quantities.

[pursuant to his reply,5 February 1980]: I regret that my reply of Tuesday of "No" was incorrect although based on very recent information from British Rail. I have now heard from British Rail that, following a periodic review of its freight services, it is from the beginning of this week, re-routing trains carrying nuclear fuel flasks from power stations to Windscale and that it expects around two flasks per week will now be passing through Stoke-on-Trent.
