asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give his support to Scotland's continued existence as a separate nation in the European Karate Union.

I am alway delighted to see Scotsmen representing their country in international events; but I think it best to leave it to the sporting bodies concerned to decide how representative teams are selected.
