asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what will be the saving in money and numbers of civil servants by ceasing to publish "Family Benefits and Pensions".

The cost of printing "Family Benefits and Pensions" last year was approximately £22,000. Since the print run of "Which Benefit" has been increased this year to cover the individuals who received "Family Benefits and Pensions", savings can only be calculated when the cost of both publications are taken into account. This means that savings will be £11,000.There will be no reduction in the number of civil servants as a result of this.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, following cessation of publication of "Family Benefits and Pensions" he will list the departmental leaflets which give supplementary benefit scale rates, income limits for free milk, prescriptions, dental treatment, and rent and rate rebates and allowances.
