Mr. Homewood
asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what delays have occurred at regional level regarding the approval of local authority schemes in the current financial year; and if he will give reasons for the delay.
Mr. Fox
The regional offices of the Department endeavour to deal as quickly as may be with the approval of local authority schemes, which fall into dozens of different categories. Perhaps the hon. Member could let me know which particular scheme is causing him concern.
