asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he has taken or intends to take to implement the recommendations of the departmental working party on dogs.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on 22 November 1979 to the hon. Member for Stockport, North (Mr. Bennett.—[Vol. 974, c. 339.]Government plans for action on dogs in Northern Ireland, where the problems and legislative background are different, were announced by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Northern Ireland on 10 January.
