asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the suspension from duty of 17 RAF security police at RAF Honington.

A number of RAF men are under investigation in respect of certain alleged offences of petty theft at RAF Honington. In view of the nature of the allegations, and the professional status of those involved, a total of 20 policemen have been suspended from police duty pending the outcome of investigations. A decision whether disciplinary charges are to be preferred will be taken in due course.
