asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the amount spent per head of population by the central Government upon housing in Wales.
In the year ended 31 March 1979 the net expenditure on the Housing, Wales Vote together with the housing element of the Trade, Industry and Employment (Welsh Office) Vote was £113,352,808; an average of £40·95 per head of population. These figures take no account of mortgage interest tax relief or of payments made by the Department of Health and Social Security to supplementary benefit claimants in respect of housing.
asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the sum available for local authorities' housing investment programmes and for the Housing Corporation for its housing activities in Wales in 1980–81.
