asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if there are any proposals to close St. Faith's hospital, Brentwood; and, if so where is it proposed to transfer the epileptic patients.

The North-East Thames regional health authority is studying various alternatives for providing care for patients at St. Faith's hospital. No firm proposals have been made and any such proposal would be subject to the normal consultation procedure.
