asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will list the principal products in the chemical industry which can be produced by the use of bulk electricity.

I understand that the principal products produced electrochemically at present in the United Kingdom are chlorine, caustic soda, sodium, sodium hypochlorite, aluminium and copper; and that zinc and magnesium can also be produced in this way.
