asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will make a statement on the position over British-owned property in Famagusta, Cyprus, now expropriated by the Turkish Cypriot Government.

Her Majestys Government will continue to make clear to the Turkish Cypriot authorities their concern about the present position of United Kingdom nationals who own properties in Famagusta.However, the solution to this problem is most likely to be found in the context of an overall political settlement involving the two Communities. Her Majesty's Government are making every effort to help over this.
