asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give the number of firearms recovered from the Irish Republican Army in each year since 1969, indicating the country of manufacture and type of weapon.

The table below shows the total number of weapons recovered or captured in each of the years in question. The records do not make it possible to identify to whom the weapons belonged; and it would not be in the interests of security to disclose the country of manufacture and type of weapon.
