asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people have been murdered by the Irish Republican Army in Northern Ireland since the Provisional Irish Republican Army rally at Casement Park in 1979 at which David O'Connell spoke.

[pursuant to his reply, 23 April 1980, c.202]: Between 12 August 1979 and 31 March 1980, paramilitary organisations are believed to have been responsible for 84 unlawful killings. Conclusive evidence is not available to allow responsibility to be apportioned among individual paramilitary organisations.
