asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is satisfied with the present provision of services in (a) residential social work and (b) field work in the Grimsby area and in South Humberside.

I am aware of certain problems in these areas at present, but responsibility for dealing with them rests with the county council.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what proportion of residential social workers are qualified in (a) Grimsby and (b) South Humberside;(2) how many unfilled posts there are for residential social works in (

a) the Grimsby area and ( b) South Humberside.
