asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland for how long the distinction between open membership and restricted membership has been made in the paying of grants to sporting bodies in Northern Ireland.

Grant was first paid by the Department of Education for Northern Ireland to a restricted membership club at the rate of 33⅓ per cent. under the Youth Welfare Physical Training and Recreation Acts on 28 January 1961.
