asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is satisfied with the present state of the pig industry in Wales; and if he will make a statement.

Although the agricultural census for December 1979 showed a further decline in the pig breeding herd in Wales, the elimination of monetary compensatory amounts on imports has improved the prospects of the industry.
