Mr Peter Mills
asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what will be the net loss per cow to the British dairy farmer as a result of the co-responsibility levy.
Mr. Peter Walker
The increase in co-responsibility levy will reduce British dairy farmers' returns by about £10 per cow on average, but dairy farmers will have benefited from three green pound devaluations and two increases in the retail price of liquid milk.
