asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much financial assistance the Government are prepared to make available to Harland and Wolff in the financial year 1980–81.

The Government have already agreed to provide up to £7·5 million to Harland and Wolff in the first quarter of the financial year and will shortly announce their decision on funding for 1980–81 as a whole in the light of their recently completed review of the company's performance and prospects.
