asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will take steps to remove the threat to the two remaining home-produced motor cycles, the Triumph and the Hesketh, which is posed by new noise regulations due to come into force next year.

The two manufacturers concerned have advised us that they are already taking steps to ensure that their products comply with the new noise limits. I therefore see no case for relaxing the regulations.
