asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when the consultation period on the document "Care in the Community" was completed; when he will be able to complete his consideration of the representations made during the consultation period ; arid when he expects to be able to make a statement.
Dr. Vaughan
The consultation document invited comments up to 30 November but many were received after that date and are being taken into account. I hope it will be possible to make an announcement fairly soon.
