asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the voluntary organisations in Scotland which have received financial assistance from his Department or from local authorities under section 13 of the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977, the nature and amount of the assistance provided and the period for which assistance was or is available.

My right hon. Friend has provided grant aid under section 13 to the following organisations:

Scottish Council for Single Homeless
£
1978–799,420
1979–8010,990
1980–819,978
1981–8211,774
Grant is being continued for the current financial year at an amount stillto be determind.
Scottish Women's Aid
£
1979–805,101
1980–813,891
1981–823,831
This grant was offered for a period of three years, which has now expired.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he intends to review the operation of the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977, in line with the review promised by the Secretary of State for the Environment.

No. A code of guidance has been issued more recently in Scotland than in England and Wales, and there have been no indications since its issue in September 1980 that a further review of the operation of the legislation in Scotland is necessary.
