asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many comments he has received on the report of the Royal Commission on legal services in Scotland; whether he will now give a closing date for any further comments on the report; and if he will publish the Government's policy on the commission's major proposals by 1 June 1982.

Detailed comments have been received from four organisations and various individuals, but those of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates are still awaited. Due consideration will be given to comments whenever they are received.
