My Department gives grants to local authorities and to non-official bodies. It is the sponsor Department for a number of executive bodies listed in "Non-Departmental Public Bodies: Facts and Figures 1981" and for the following nationalised industries; the South of Scotland Electricity Board, the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board and the Scottish Transport Group, which receive finance from my votes. While I answer questions on the general principles underlying these grants, I do not answer for the detailed administration of these bodies.
