asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the staff-to-student ratio at (a) St. Colm's high school, Twinbrook, Dunmurry, (b) Regent House school, Newtownards, and (c) Bangor grammar school; and what is the Northern Ireland average for such schools.

The 1981 pupil/teacher ratios for the particular schools are as follows:

(a) St. Colm's high school (secondary intermediate school)12·9
(b) Regent House school (grammar) (secondary department only)17·4
(c) Bangor grammar school (secondary department only)17·0
The Northern Ireland average for secondary intermediate schools was 15·1 and for grammar schools (secondary departments only) 16·0.
