Argentina (Arms Supplies)

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he can give an assurance that the supply of all arms and munitions from the United Kingdom to Argentina have now ceased and that action has been, or will be, taken to ensure that such arms will not be supplied to other Governments or arms merchants who may re-sell or supply them to the Argentines.

All defence sales business with Argentina has been suspended and we are monitoring very closely the supply of military equipment which might be transferred to Argentina through third parties.
