asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the total number of (a) citizens band licence forms and (b) forms required to convert an illegal to a legal set which have been issued.

No records are kept of the number of application forms issued to the public, but some 300,000 citizens' band radio licences have now been issued and I understand that Her Majesty's Customs and Excise has received about 960 fees of £5 in lieu of import duty and VAT as illegal AM sets have been converted to FM.
