asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the total cost to the taxpayer for the return of Miss Sheila Rossall to the United Kingdom; and what guarantees have been given for the repayment of these costs.

A final figure for the total cost is not yet available but it is not expected to exceed the estimated figure of £21,000, Miss Rossall has signed a legally enforceable undertaking to repay all costs incurred on her return to the United Kingdom.
