AMENDMENTS OF MAGISTRATES' COURTS ACT 1980 RELATING TO REMANDS IN CUSTODY

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said amendment.
The purpose of this amendment is to put it beyond doubt that a defendant's solicitor need not be present in court when the magistrates remand a defendant in his absence.Question put and agreed to.
