asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will seek to amend the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949, in order to deal with species other than indigenous rats arid mice which may merit similar consideration.

I am not aware of any need to amend the Act, and other legislation already provides various powers to control species other than rats and mice.
