asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what will be the position of representatives from local medical committees now serving on family practitioner committees in the light of the statement of the Minister for Health at the Scarborough conference of family practitioner committees; if the number of members will be altered; and if he will make a statement.

These are matters to be decided in the course of the preparation of legislation to make Family Practitioner Committees employing authorities in their own right, which we intend to introduce at the earliest opportunity.
