Green Pound

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he proposes to revalue the green pound; and what he assesses would be the implications of an upward movement of the rate for United Kingdom farmers.

I have no current proposals for a revaluation of the green pound. Any revaluation in the course of the marketing year would mean an across-the-board reduction in the level of support prices already announced.
