asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the average life expectancy at Dinh of males and females in the Northern region and the United Kingdom as a whole.

The most recent estimates are as follows. The expectations are obtained by assuming a hypothetical population to be subjected, at each successive age, to the estimated age-specific death rates of the period 1978 to 1980.
