Falkland Islanders

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what plans are under discussion to enable those Falklanders who may wish to do so to leave the islands.

Any islander wishing to leave is free to do so upon payment of the appropriate fare, subject only to availability of places on aircraft or ships. So far as I am aware, only three islanders have taken steps to resettle in Britain since the Argentine invasion.
