Mr. Marshall
asked the Minister for Trade if he has yet replied to British Airways on its proposals for the capital reconstruction of the airline.
Mr. Sproat
The Government have informed British Airways that it is aware of the state of their finances and is considering appropriate measures. It has not yet accepted any commitment to undertake a capital reconstruction of the airline. In the meantime, British Airways will remain eligible for advances from the national loans fund to meet their external finance needs.

asked the Minister for Trade if he has any plans to meet the chairman of British Airways to discuss the future of the corporation.
