asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will state the three largest United Kingdom current aid projects in India, their cost and expected date of completion.

The Rihand thermal power station to which we are giving £117 million of aid should be completed in 1988. We are providing capital equipment for two fertiliser plants at Thal and Hazira at a cost of £46·8 million and £42·9 million respectively. Both should be completed by 1983.
