asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether, when giving consideration to the appointment of a new chairman of British Rail, he will insist that the person so appointed gives his full time to the appointment, or, if only working on a part-time basis, that his salary should be only on a part-time basis.

These are obviously among the points which I shall bear in mind when I come to consider the appointment of a new chairman.
