asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will assess the contribution the organisation Co-operation North is making to the economy and welfare of Northern Ireland.

It is not possible to quantify the contribution of Co-operation North to the economy and welfare of Northern Ireland but I welcome its work. The studies it has initiated on economic, cultural and recreational exchanges between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have encouraged productive debate.
