A civilian employee of a police force disclosed information obtained from the police national computer to a company trading in burglar alarms.My answer also erroneously described the prosecution in 1984 of a Foreign Office clerk as arising from the disclosure of minutes written "by her Secretary of State to colleagues" although in fact the minutes were sent to her Secretary of State.
