asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from Welwyn Hatfield district council regarding the future funding allocation for the homes insulation scheme; and if he will make a statement.

Welwyn Hatfield district council have asked for its initial allocation of £21,000 for homes insulation scheme grants in 1985–86 to be increased in the light of the demand for grants in their area, and have been allocated an additional £14,000 from the reserve of £7 million for the scheme in England held back for the coming year.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the allocation for 1985–86 in respect of homes insulation grant for each of the local authorities in Leicestershire.

The following initial allocations for homes insulation scheme grants in 1985–86 have been made to authorities in Leicestershire:
