asked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what steps he will take to improve the availability of cervical smear tests for wives and daughters of men serving with the British Army of the Rhine;(2) whether he will make a statement on the availability of cervical smear tests for wives and daughters of men serving with the British Army of the Rhine.

Cervical smear testing is available to all service women and female dependants of service men serving in BAOR as well as to the female dependants of entitled civilians. The availability of these tests is widely publicised and no further steps are considered necessary to improve the availability of cervical smear testing.
