asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will list how many claims were made and how many were accepted for each year from 1970 to 1984 inclusive for industrial death benefit in respect of (a) asbestosis, (b) mesothelioma of the pleura, (c) mesothelioma of the peritoneum;(2) how many claims and how many awards were made under the industrial injuries scheme of disablement benefit for the years 1970 to 1984, inclusive, for the following diseases:

(a) asbestosis, (b) mesothelioma of the pleura, (c) mesothelioma of the peritoneum.

The information requested is not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
