asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the situation at the Magilligan prison.

Her Majesty's prison, Magilligan, at present holds 317 prisoners, all of whom are conforming to prison rules. The structure of the prison system as a whole, including Magilligan, is being considered in the context of the planned opening of Her Majesty's prison, Maghaberry.
