asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on recent developments in the treatment of glaucoma.

There have been continuing improvements in the medical and surgical techniques employed in the treatment of glaucoma. These have been reported in the journals and will be taken into account by clinicians in deciding the care appropriate for each particular case.
