asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he next meets the chairman of the Post Office, if he will discuss the recent report from the Post Office Users' National Council on postal delivery delays.

My right hon. Friend welcomes the determined steps the Post Office is taking to ensure that its customers receive a satisfactory service, and he discusses progress with the chairman of the Post Office whenever it is appropriate to do so.
